Gold mineralization occurs within a 1200m by 600m gold in soil anomaly and coincident IP chargeability high which represents a sulphide-rich zone.
114 holes have been drilled on Los Candelones to partly outline a gold mineralized zone with a strike length of 700 meters with local structural offsets.
Drilling highlights on Los Candelones include: 2.1 g/t Au over 61m (including 6.9g/t Au over 10m) in hole SC29, 1.1 g/t Au over 82m in hole SC40, 1.8 g/t Au over 63m in hole DC46 and 0.8 g/t Au over 103m in hole DC98.
Gold mineralization is a moderate sulphidation, epithermal vein system, hosted in dacitic pyroclastic rocks in a 20-30 meter thick stockwork containing pyrite, sphalerite and chalcopyrite.
The 20-30 meter thick core stockwork zone grades 1.0 to 4.4 g/t gold and is enclosed within up to 100 meters of pyroclastic rocks which grade 0.3 to 0.5 g/t gold.
Gold mineralization zone is wide open along strike and down dip.
